There is a safety helmet that can communicate and also informs you of the working environment, such as temperature and humidity. DARA Online Exhibition Hall GO
At the '2024 Korea International Safety & Health Show (KISS 2024)', ASGUARD Co., Ltd., a company specializing in industrial safety products, exhibited an integrated smart safety helmet.
This safety helmet performs various functions without the need for additional equipment. An infrared proximity sensor is installed inside the helmet to check whether it is worn properly. A temperature and humidity sensor is installed on the back of the product to measure the temperature and humidity of the workplace and sound an alarm when the heat damage risk index is reached.
Two types of wireless communication are also possible. The DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) radio is installed, allowing direct communication between work hat wearers within 1km. In addition, the application of the Bluetooth 5.2 module allows connection with a smartphone for phone calls and radio app transmission and reception. The DMR radio is used for field communication, and the Bluetooth module is used for contact with external parties such as headquarters.
A shock sensor is also connected. When an impact is detected, a red signal flashes on the rear warning light and a visual alarm is transmitted, and an alarm and emergency rescue signal are sent to users connected to the DMR radio and Bluetooth module. This helps respond within the golden time in the event of an accident by allowing nearby workers to respond on-site and the head office manager to report quickly.
It is also equipped with a light sensor that automatically detects the surrounding lighting environment and operates the LED lantern, a wide-angle camera for black box function, a 32G micro SD card, and 2.4Hz Wi-Fi.
Asgard CEO Kim Woong-bae said, “Smart safety helmets have been developed by many companies, including large corporations, for the past five years, but it has been difficult to find products that have actually been mass-produced.” He added, “Nevertheless, we have continued to work hard to develop it because it is a safety product that is absolutely necessary in the field.”
He added, “This will be a solution that can respond to industrial safety issues such as the Serious Disaster Punishment Act, and can quickly respond when an accident occurs and identify the cause of the accident through video and data.”
Meanwhile, KISS 2024 will be held at Halls 7 and 8 of KINTEX 2nd Exhibition Center in Ilsan until the 4th.
