Asgard CEO Kim Woong-bae received the Construction Safety Practitioners Association Chairman’s Award for his contribution to strengthening safety management with smart helmets.

Top companies in the domestic construction safety sector gathered in one place. At the 'K-ConSafety Awards', the highlight of the '2024 Korea Construction Safety Expo' held at KINTEX 1st Exhibition Hall in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province on the 18th, eight companies that achieved outstanding results in construction safety technology innovation and ESG and shared growth were selected as winners.

This awards ceremony was jointly hosted by five major construction safety organizations, and awards were given to companies that practiced technologies that enhance the safety of construction sites and eco-friendly and coexistence management. The judging was conducted by a judging panel comprised of media and industry experts.

CEO Youngsam Cho of Jjakdari Co., Ltd. received the KINTEX President's Award for the 'Dad Ladder' that applied patented horizontal adjustment technology. This technology received attention for greatly improving the safety of the work environment. CEO Hosup Yoon of Korea Light Rail received the Specialized Construction Safety and Health Council Chairman's Award for developing a device that prevents workers from falling at high-altitude work sites and improves material transport efficiency.

CEO Choi Jong-won of Uplift received the Comprehensive Construction Industry Chairman’s Award for introducing a system that can manage the safety of workers in real time with the ‘K-Ladder Smart Safety KIT’. Kim Tae-won of Shinwha Tech received the Construction Safety Council Chairman’s Award for developing a wireless product for a conventional wired heavy equipment congestion alarm, and Director Kim Pyeong-sik of Geumgang Safety Industry received the Construction Safety Executives’ Association Chairman’s Award for his 3D chip technology that can prevent finger entrapment accidents.

In the ESG and shared growth sector, Hyundai Engineering & Construction’s Chief Manager Kim Jeong-han received the KINTEX President’s Award in recognition of his collaboration with 20 startups through the Open Innovation Program. Manager Won Jin-hee of Gyeonggi Province’s Labor Safety Division received the Construction Safety Executives’ Association Chairman’s Award for establishing the ‘Gyeonggi Province Construction Safety Management System’ and significantly improving the safety management capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises.
