[Safety First Dot News] The Korea Smart Safety and Health Technology Association (Chairman Lee Jun-won, hereinafter referred to as the Association) is supporting the pilot operation of smart safety equipment in the 2024 Disaster Response Safety Korea Training and has embarked on the introduction of technology for smart safety and health management and improvement of the work environment. This training was hosted by Incheon-Gimpo Expressway Co., Ltd., and a total of 12 organizations including private organizations, local governments, the military, police, and fire departments participated, with the goal of strengthening initial response capabilities assuming fire and chemical spill accidents in multi-dense facilities (soundproof tunnels). The training was conducted under conditions similar to the actual work environment, and focused on checking the situation transmission and reporting system, and the communication system between disaster response organizations. In particular, with the support of the Association, smart safety helmets with DMR and POC communication methods were piloted, and tests were conducted to improve the system that connects the situation room and the field in real time.
